My hosts in Princeton\/Coalmont had their truck break down, so they couldn’t give me a lift back to the point in Princeton where they’d picked me up, and I rode there from Coalmont instead.<\/p>\n

One of the residents kindly provided some otherwise absent signage to tell you what town you’re entering:<\/p>\n

I grabbed a few groceries in Princeton (and some sun-blocking lip balm, as I’d noticed some sunburn on my lips during the rest day, and set out along the highway again. It was a really nice gentle ride following alongside a river as it went downstream<\/p>\n

Then it gets to Hedley (formerly a gold mining town) and rolls a little, but still small and gentle rolls<\/p>\n

You can see some of the old mining buildings in the second-to-last picture there, and pretty much the entire village of Hedley in the last one.<\/p>\n

I also occasionally found myself amused by the signage (note also the density of vegetation in the pictures; once through the Cascades, the land seems to get increasingly arid until the Okanagan — this also leads to a lot of pastureland)<\/p>\n

Keremeos (the next town past Hedley) appears to be an agricultural town, and with all the orchards in bloom, I got a picture of one.<\/p>\n

Once in Keremeos, I turned North onto Hwy 3A to head towards DRAO, and encountered another amusing sign:<\/p>\n
