{"id":24,"date":"2008-05-28T02:20:34","date_gmt":"2008-05-28T06:20:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rolling.melon.org\/?p=24"},"modified":"2008-10-29T23:23:35","modified_gmt":"2008-10-30T03:23:35","slug":"may-28-secreton-to-moose-jaw-68km","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rolling.melon.org\/?p=24","title":{"rendered":"May 28: Parkbeg to Moose Jaw (~68km)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bikely.com\/maps\/bike-path\/May-28-Parkbeg-to-Moose-Jaw\">Bikely map<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I got an early start in, and rode on for about 20km before deciding that, while I wasn&#8217;t going to be able to make Regina, I&#8217;d still make Moose Jaw with ample spare time, so when I came to Mortlach and saw it to be a well-serviced town, I decided to take a quick internet break, check the weather, and do other such relaxing things.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Pulling into town, I discovered that it is where Chris had called an end to his previous day, and that he hadn&#8217;t yet gotten a start on his day. We caught up a little, exchanged some information, and agreed to meet up in Moose Jaw. He then began his day, while I dropped into the local Tea Room (run by a couple of mostly-retired Welsh immigrants, who are very much enjoying having a little teahouse out in the country, but also bringing some more contemporary British traditions into town, like a monthly curry night at the teahouse&#8211;though I arrived at entirely the wrong time of month to avail myself of that).<\/p>\n<p>Anyhow, the ride was again largely uneventful, much like the day before, with less to photograph by way of interesting scenery.
